Happy New Year!

Dear Family and Friends:

Walter and I have just recuperated from the busy 2018 holidays with our children and grandchildren. Now that the fingerprints have been removed from all our windows, and the earphones, adaptors, jacks, cords, and other electronic paraphilia returned to teenagers, preteens and  5 and 6-year-old terrorists, we can finally settle into 2019. Yes, the picture is of most of the family who went to iFly in Scottsdale. Walter is taking pictures. We had a blast. And yes, I flew solo and have a video to prove it.

My last mailing to you highlighted Big Rig RV2. We are scheduling our next cross-country trip sometime in May through August and I will certainly give you all the fun details. But for now, suffice it to say that RV2 has a new home in the storage facility we lease.
You guessed it, with the other Big Rigs.

I have some wonderful news to share with you. First, Princess Aisha and the Arrow of Truth is finally completed. I am making arrangments to have copies shipped to Amazon for sale. The cost of the book is $15.00 and if you are interested in purchasing the sequel to Princess Aisha and the Cave of Judgement for a little princess, or big princess, please forward your address and I will mail a copy to you. I am sure you will enjoy the ongoing adventures of  Princess Aisha.

On another note, The Arizona Theater Company has recognized Walter and me as the Production Sponsor for August Wilson's Two Trains Runningscheduled for February 14 - March 3 at the Herberger Theater in Phoenix. We will celebrate opening night on February 16 with many of our family and friends. Please come and enjoy the work of a magnificent playwright who received two Pulitzer Prizes for Drama. Two Trains Running is the seventh in a series of ten plays Wilson wrote that tells the story of a restaurant owner who must consider selling his beloved restaurant due to urban planning that took place during the civil rights movement in the sixties.

Finally, Delta Sigma Theta National Arts and Letters Commission has selected Phoenix Metropolitan Alumni Chapter, my sorority, as one of seven chapters across the country to host the 2019 Delta Authors on Tour. We will feature seven outstanding authors on March 2, 2019, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the brand new AC Marriott Hotel, 2811 E Camelback Rd. If you are local, come out and spend a wonderful afternoon with light refreshments and soft jazz as the authors entice you to come to their table to purchase their books. A 15% discount coupon will be given to each attendee to use to purchase one book of their choice. The admission is $25.00 and I know you will be thrilled with the discussions and networking you find yourself a part of. For further information contact: info@dstphoenixalumnae.org.

Walter gave me a wooden block with this quotation, "I can't say I love you enough, so this is your reminder." So... I can't say how much I appreciate all of you enough so this is your reminder.
